How we started
During many years of working as Vancouver BC service providers and construction trades who constantly used aluminum extension ladders, it became apparent that a product needed to be created to stop the damage to any surface the ladder rails were resting on and to prevent the sideways sliding that accompanied the climb to the top.
The Ladder BodyGuard was designed after a large project involved the requirement to set the ladder against every aluminum railing on a 4 story multifamily housing complex in order to reach the dryer vents for cleaning.
A 40 foot extension ladder has alot of movement and is very heavy, therefore, every railing had its painted surface scratched afterwards. The sideways sliding of the ladder caused anxiety AND damage which led to complaints from the homeowners to the strata – that’s a bad situation to be in…
We also wanted to create a product that was cost effective enough that EVERY person would be able to afford it just to increase their safety and eliminate potential damages to property without buying expensive bulky ladder attachments.
